A constable from the state's South has been charged with possessing and using a controlled drug and stealing, police say.
In a statement, Tasmania Police deputy commissioner Scott Tilyard said the charges against the 33-year-old man "arose as a result of an internal investigation".
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The matters are listed in the Hobart Magistrates Court on 11 November, 2020," Deputy Commissioner Tilyard said.
"The constable has been suspended from duty on full pay.
"It is not appropriate to make any further comment given the matters are now before the court."
