Australia will be aiming to host the tournament for a record fourth time following 1967, 1991 and 2015.
Under the International Netball Federation model, one city hosts matches and Netball Australia has chosen Sydney to be its centrepiece.
Sydney hosted the World Cup the last two times the World Cup came to Australia.
But Netball Tasmania boss Aaron Pidgeon is starting to think big this time around.

"There's a lot of water to go under the bridge, but what we're hopeful is we might be able to host some marquee teams for their camps and lead-in games prior [to the World Cup]," he said.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games did allow Tasmania to welcome both Wales and Northern Ireland to prepare.
This time Pidgeon wants to preferably bring either a New Zealand or England, a South Africa or Jamaica to match when Launceston in 2016 held an Australian Test against the Silver Ferns.
"We're still happy to get a Wales or Northern Ireland again, but we won't shy away from putting our hand up and saying why not send us a New Zealand or a England, why not a South Africa or a Jamaica?" he said.
"We'll certainly be trying to bring the best available in for lead-in games for a netball public while providing the best training environment for them possible."
