Tasmania Police is investigating a burglary, where firearms were stolen, at a Mowbray property.

The burglary occurred on Saturday night, but police would not release the address or the type of firearms stolen due to investigation and security purposes.
In other news:
Sergeant Paul Thomas did confirm that a number of firearms stored at the address were stolen.
"The firearms were stored correctly," he said.
"The house was unoccupied at the time of the burglary. Investigations are continuing into the matter."
Police are urging anyone with information that may assist their investigations to phone 131 444.
