Pre-poll voting centres opened on Monday and will close on July 31. These are located at the Exeter Community Hub, the Tailrace Centre at Riverside and 85a George Street in Launceston.
Tasmania's electoral commissioner Andrew Hawkey said every Rosevears and Huon elector would have the opportunity to vote, despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus crisis.
"The key thing for us is that people do participate," Mr Hawkey said.
"We need to keep safe and we need to make sure people can still vote. You don't know what's going to happen in four to six weeks in these times."
Mr Hawkey said information brochures had been sent to electors via the post.
There will be twelve polling places at which people can vote on August 1.
"We'll have distance marking, we'll have perspex screens between the issuing staff and the elector getting their ballot paper, we'll have regular cleaning and different things," Mr Hawkey said.
Voting is compulsory.
Postal vote applications can be downloaded from the Tasmanian Electoral Commission's website.
