Green arrived last year as the Roos' biggest off-season recruit, but will miss the club's opener against Lauderdale after a practice match mishap.
Webberley said the 27-year-old would boost the club on and off the field when he returns to action.

"From a playing point of view he's going to help our club enormously, but from a coaching aspect he's got fresh ideas straight out of the AFL so hopefully it means we can tap into those," Webberley said.
"He's coaching our under-18s group at the moment and he's really enjoying that.
"He's really invested in our club, he's coaching, he's hopefully going to be a really strong players for us and he's got plenty of fresh ideas."
A premiership player with the Roos in 2009 and 2010, Green was drafted to Brisbane with pick 32 of the 2010 national draft and kicked 107 goals in 81 games between 2011 and 2016.
He added another 24 games and 25 goals in two seasons at Essendon before winning a premiership with Uni Blues in the VAFA last year.
