No bail for alleged Kings Meadows gym stabber
A 45-year-old man charged over a knife attack in a Zap Fitness gym at Kings Meadows has been refused bail.

Paul Justin Smyth, of no fixed address, applied for bail in the Launceston Magistrates Court via a duty solicitor on Friday.
Police prosecutor Ashlee Goss opposed bail and Magistrate Sharon Cure remanded Mr Smyth in custody to reappear on July 23 at 9.15am.
Mr Smyth is yet to plead to a charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after allegedly stabbing Luke John Duncan, 32, in the face and hands about 1.30pm on Wednesday.
