My favourite King Island place is Disappointment Bay, a beach which remembers a tragic shipwreck but is serene and beautiful with lichen coloured rocks and a sweep of golden sand; a place for contemplation where two people are a crowd.

My favourite spot in the city is the Organ Pipes Track on kunanyi/Mount Wellington. It's a stunning walk to see both a panoramic view of the city and it also allows you to experience the majestic organ pipes up close from below.

The Great Western Tiers dominate our landscape and provide us with a magnificent backdrop. This rugged mountain range can be seen from almost every vantage point across our Municipality and provides us with an ever-changing view that is nothing short of spectacular.

Anyone lucky enough to live on the stunningly beautiful Tamar River as I do, will know exactly why its my favourite place and why I would recommend it as a must see to visitors to the Tamar Valley. I look at it first thing every morning and it never fails to give me a sense of calm that prepares me for the day. Its mesmeric in the same way that a fire draws you in and Im spoiled for choice in what I see.

My favourite location in the Central Coast Municipality is the Dial Range. This iconic landmark is visible along the coast and seen from a distance, it's the landmark that whispers to me 'I'm home'.

My favourite location is the 'Jewell in the Crown', that is Bells Parade and the island precinct particularly given the easily accessible recreation areas for picnickers, cyclists and visitors along the magnificent Mersey River.

My favourite spot on the East Tamar and George Town Municipality is the lighthouse at Low Head. With majestic views of the Tamar and Bass Strait and the most majestic sunsets. On a clear day you can see the Nut at Stanley.

My spot would have to be Park and Carlton beach. It is the most magnificent beach to enjoy a decent walk , there is no better place to watch the sun rise or set , it takes about an hour to walk the beach and return which gives me plenty of time to solve the problems of the world.

I love to walk around Bellerive Bluff and along Bellerive Beach, something my wife and I do on most days. The magnificent views across the river to Hobart and Kunanyi beyond are only matched by the fresh air, sunshine and welcoming smiles from fellow travellers.
