Mac Shop owner Preben Nielsen said security cameras showed iPhones, laptops and iPads were stolen at about 12.15am Tuesday.
In other news:
"The perpetrator threw two bricks through the front door, which smashed all the glass and the bottom of the door itself," Mr Nielsen said.
"He made his way in with his bricks and smashed the glass cabinet which contained all our iPhones.
"He just walked straight out the front door with everything, he had a little bag with him and he had the laptops underneath his arm."
Staff discovered the brazen burglary the next morning and Mr Nielson said he spent four days dealing with the damage caused by the thief.
"The door is covered in boards because it takes two weeks to manufacture a door," he said.
"The stock was insured but that doesn't make up for the time lost, sleepless nights and worrying about if they're going to come back".
Mr Nielsen said support he received from customers had been "heartwarming" and he praised police for their response.
A Tasmania Police spokeswoman said shop stealing in the Launceston area was down by 10 per cent compared to the same time last year and crime across the state dropped during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Launceston Police on 131 444," she said.
