National vacancies dropped by a record 43.2 per cent in the same period in seasonally adjusted terms, the Australian Bureau of Statistics estimated.
Tasmanian Health Minister Sarah Courtney on Thursday said the state government was focused on rebuilding the state in the recovery phase from the pandemic.
"This is why we are pursuing the most aggressive (construction) program in Tasmania's history - $3.1 billion across two years - to build our way out of the COVID-19 pandemic," Ms Courtney said.
Shadow Small Business Minister Anita Dow on Wednesday said preliminary Australian Bureau of Statistics data showed 30 per cent of small businesses reported they did not have enough cash reserves to support operations under current conditions for more than three months.
She said the figures underlined the importance of measures to support business.
