Sam Freeman - Mowbray
2019-20 season: Freeman spread his talent across Mowbray's first-grade side, Tasmania's under-17s, Beaconsfield B grade and under-18 Greater Northern Raiders last season.
Six wickets across two innings against Launceston and 3-8 against Sheffield served as highlights for the off-spinner.
Ando says: Sam is a tough competitor well above his young age. He backs himself to continually throw it up and bowl his best wicket-taking ball, as opposed to darting it in and trying to limit damage.
He's a very skilful spin bowler and his batting will improve markedly as he builds size and confidence. He's a bit of a larrikin who should have a big future.
Cooper Anthes - Riverside
2019-20 season: Playing first grade and colts for Riverside, Anthes scored back-to-back 64s in the Greater Northern Cup to be rewarded with Raiders selection.
Scoring 930 runs across 41 matches last season, the gun Blue also took 33 wickets at an average of 19.94.
Ando says: Cooper is a very solid batsman with a really impressive technique. He's defensively sound and once he learns how to mix his attack and defence into a solid game plan, should be able to pile on bulk runs.
Also a talented off spinner who could become a genuine all-rounder at a high level.
Joel Lloyd - Westbury
2019-20 season: Lloyd was in and out of Westbury's first grade side throughout the season but a starring role in the Greater Northern Raiders' inaugural under-18 carnival stood out.
Scoring 111 runs, including a blistering 49 off just 21 balls, the all-rounder put his name on the lips of NTCA faithful.
Ando says: Joel is a talented, hard-hitting left-hand bat and left-arm seamer that burst onto the scene with an impressive under-18 vacation week with the Greater Northern Raiders.
He's a laconic, free-flowing genuine all-rounder that will become a brilliant first-grade cricketer once he realises how good he is.
Sam Elliston-Buckley - Launceston
2019-20 season: A booming start to the NTCA season saw the young wicketkeeper take the reins at the Raiders, a position he could hold for a long time.
Also finishing the Cricket North year with a bang, Elliston-Buckley showed his promise while mixing it with the big guns.
Ando says: Sam is an emerging wicketkeeper batsman that has had some success with both Launceston and the Raiders. He can score at better than a run a ball, and can change the course of a game very quickly.
Could hit some big numbers once he finds some consistency.
Ben Spinks - Mowbray
2019-20 season: Spending most of his year in Raiders colours, Spinks, who has represented Tasmanian on the national Indigenous stage, showed his skill.
Ando says: Ben is a young, tall fast bowler that spent the majority of the season playing Raiders for some promising returns.
He gets very steep bounce and hits the seam hard consistently, there's a big season around the corner once he grows into his body and builds some strength.
