The state government has no plans at this stage to extend the moratorium on evictions beyond June 30, Housing Minister Roger Jaensch says.

The policy was introduced to ease the burden on Tasmanian renters during the coronavirus crisis, and was expected to be reviewed after 90 days.
Mr Jaensch said an extension could be considered if conditions warranted it.
"We don't have any plans that we've announced so far, but the government continues to watch the conditions and will ensure we have the right policy settings to deal with it," he said.

The government's rent relief scheme has received significant demand, with 986 applications made to the fund since it started on May 25.
The payments of $2000, or four weeks' rent, are provided to landlords or agents who negotiate a temporary rent reduction with their tenant.
Mr Jaensch said a decision to provide more funding to the scheme would depend on uptake figures.
