More than a fortnight after stage 2 COVID-19 restrictions were lifted, resumption dates are still to be confirmed in the state's major football, soccer and hockey competitions.
It is understood that all three sports have drawn up draft rosters, expect to make them public within days and hope to have their competitions underway by July 18.
Statewide netball and basketball leagues have confirmed start dates on July 24 and October 10 respectively, but frustration has been growing around prolonged delays for outdoor competitions.
State soccer and hockey bodies have provisionally lined up the weekend of July 18-19 to begin seasons while AFL Tasmania last week flagged a July 11 start for the TSL and TSLW after stage 3 restrictions were brought forward to June 26.
It said the extra week should help alleviate any fixture problems and the need for midweek games.
An AFL Tasmania spokesperson said last Thursday a fixture should be finalised "in the next 10 days".
Meanwhile it is understood both Hockey Tasmania and Football Tasmania are on the brink of announcing rosters.
Drafts have been sent out for 14-round soccer seasons in the NPL Tasmania and both Northern Championships involving the eight clubs playing each other home and away with additional dates to accommodate cup competitions.
The Northern Tasmanian Junior Soccer Association also expects to kick off at Churchill Park on July 17-18, having postponed its season in mid-March.
Hockey Tasmania chief executive Damian Smith told The Examiner on Monday he hoped to sign off on a Greater Northern League roster in the next 24 hours before it could be sent to members with a provisional start date of July 18.
Stage 2 restrictions came into place 10 days early on Friday, June 5, when Premier Peter Gutwein brought them forward ahead of the long weekend.
