A Waverley man has been charged with multiple offences after an alleged domestic violence incident in Launceston overnight.

Police responded to a report of a man being injured with a knife near 262 Charles Street about 5:40 pm Sunday.
Police said the 36-year-old was found at a residence in Launceston and was taken to the station for questioning.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The alleged offender was interviewed by Launceston CIB this morning and has been charged with wounding, aggravated burglary, breaching a police family violence order, trafficking in a controlled substance and use a controlled drug," police said.
"The parties concerned are well known to each other and this appears to be a domestic related dispute."
The man is expected to appear in the Magistrates Court at 2:15 pm Monday.
