A fire that broke out early Tuesday morning and engulfed a Rocherlea home is being treated as suspicious.

Tasmania Fire Service crews from Rocherlea and Launceston were called to the Ferntree Court home about 3am.
The house was engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
It took more than one hour to extinguish the fire, with the cost of damages estimated at $250,000.
The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
Initial investigations have determined the fire to be suspicious.
The Northern Criminal Investigation Branch and TFS are continuing their investigations.
