NCAA division I university Southern Utah Thunderbirds have offered a commitment to sign up Tornadoes teenage guard Aishah Anis ahead of the 2021-22 collegiate roster.
Sarah Veale, a mentor over state junior representation for Anis and set to coach the Torns, told South Utah head coach Tracy Sanders that Anis is a work in progress.
"Going into college as a freshman, as a point guard, you have to be a leader, so having a year next year with the Torns in a leadership capacity will really help Aishah assist her growth," Veale said.
Anis may not be the last should Sharna Hayward and Micah Simpson realise a US college spot. "Part of what we do is to try and help our players for an ongoing career and their next step," Veale said.
