The controversial club that first landed in Tasmania last year and flew out little more than four months later shifted allegiances to Auckland in a shock move barely months out from the New Zealand NBL season that is set to commence on June 23.
The transition was only completed after the embattled owners had dumped all their Australian players and American exports for New Zealand-bred replacements.
The turnaround finally took place during the competition's draft when the Auckland Huskies announced their full squad.
The lineup proved to be a far cry from the former Tasmanian team that included NBL stars Craig Moller and Harry Froling.

It comes after an acrimonious split with Basketball Tasmania where the Huskies owners laid the blame for its problems.
But the Tasmanian government and angry creditors have pointed the fingers back at the club's management for spiralling debts that were never paid back a cent.
Not only are multiple coaches, players and general manager Andy Hollands still allegedly chasing up owed wages, but Glenorchy City council, Kingborough council and Basketball Victoria have bills combined in the vicinity of six figures that are yet to be settled.
Owners still have $60,000 to pay back from a $200,000 state government grant.
The Sunday Examiner have contacted some of those out of pocket previously to this report that declined to comment.
