However, Launceston Show Society president Jock Gibson said the committee had made the difficult decision to cancel the event for 2020, due to COVID-19.
"We didn't really have a choice, with the current restrictions, but because we don't know what the restrictions will be in the future we wouldn't have been able to plan it," Mr Gibson said.
"We are very sad that we aren't able to have the last show at the Inveresk site, it would have been a nice send off."

Mr Gibson said agricultural shows were constantly reinventing themselves, despite many coming up against lower attendance numbers and rising costs.
However, he said lovers of the show could be heartened the committee is working on a 2021 iteration.
"We will be working on next year's event," he said.
The most immediate challenge the show society is up against is to find a new venue, after the group wound up its lease to sell the land to the University of Tasmania for a car park to cater for its new Inveresk campus.
Mr Gibson said they had yet to find a new venue and the search had also been put on hold due to the pandemic.
