Residents were left with no physical banking services after the Bank of Heritage Isle decided to close their branches in Tasmania earlier this year.
A Bendigo Bank agency would operate inside an already established store and would allow people to perform their banking face to face.
Bendigo Bank's Tasmanian regional manager Martyn Neville said the bank was assessing possible sights for the agency.

He said if a suitable site was found a minimum banking commitment of $5 million would be required from the community.
Mr Neville said Bendigo was looking for people to transfer their banking services and not just use the agency as an ATM because that would not be viable.
He said preliminary reports into the agencies location are expected to be finalised by June 15.
Manions' Coaches owner Bernard Manion is a member of a community working group aimed at returning physical banking to Beaconsfield.
He said the age demographic of the community meant it was important for there to be physical services in Beaconsfield.
"Beaconsfield is an older population base of people who really deserve to have an onsite bank that people can go to," Mr Manion said.
"In that area there are people who don't leave it, they just live, work and doing everything in that Beaconsfield community."
Sylvia Chandler has been a part of the community in Beaconsfield for 45 years.
She said there would be enough support for physical banking services in the area.
