Monsoon has a fusion cuisine-based menu, where elements of various cultural culinary delights are combined in an artistic way.
Owner Yaya Waite said the Launceston venue is an expansion of a Monsoon at Battery Point.

She said the planning for the business began in October, unaware of the upcoming COVID-19 pandemic that would cripple many small businesses.
"We didn't think about a pandemic happening so what could we do? We just had to keep going and stay positive," she said.
"We believe we can do it, we want to bring something positive that we love eating ... come and try a dish and see that it's not just food on a plate."
Monsoon's menu will regularly change, according to chef Tanya Thananchaithiti, with breakfast, lunch and dinner menus available.
