However, it will be limited to one visitor per patient for most departments and between the hours of 2pm and 6pm.
Health Minister Sarah Courtney said visitors will be screened upon arrival.
"This is an important first step because we know how important it is for patients to be able to have support," she said.
"However, we also need to be mindful that we still have the threat of coronavirus so we need to ensure that we're keeping our staff and patients safe."

Visitors will fill out a questionnaire upon arrival providing contact details, information on where they have been prior to visiting and if they feel unwell.
"We know that you miss your loved ones and we know that you want to see them, please don't come to any of our facilities if you feel unwell," Ms Courtney said.
She said the federal government's $400 million new health reform agreement funding was a welcomed investment in the state's health system across the next five years.
"It means that when looking at alternative measures of care, such as hospital in the home, we can go forward with the planning in that to ensure we're giving our patients the best care possible in the right location," she said.
Ms Courtney said funding for each public hospital will be dependent on its spending from the prior year.
"It's a good deal for Tasmania - it takes into account a lot of our circumstances and it has been negotiated over a long period of time."
