The annual event, which raises money for the Cancer Council, is going ahead in the form of virtual mornings teas or small gatherings of close friends and family due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Cancer Council Tasmania chief executive Penny Egan said it was not too late for people to sign up as hosts or to donate online.
"Tasmanians can also donate what they or their workplaces spend on their morning tea or coffee break" Mrs Egan said.
"Cancer Council Tasmania, like so many other charities and not-for-profit organisations, has been severely affected by COVID-19."
In other news:
Ms Egan said all funds raised through Australia's Biggest Morning Tea stayed in Tasmania to fund support, prevention and research programs.
"Every day, more than nine Tasmanians are diagnosed with cancer," she said.
"People affected by cancer need Tasmanians' support, now more than ever.
"Show them you're behind them in this uncertain time, by donating the money you'd spend on your morning coffee, or round of coffees."
