For once having their players split up over three centres - Launceston, Melbourne and Hobart - can give the squad a real advantage when the new normal is the same as theirs.

The Collingwood Super Netball affiliate and feeder side is the only team to have the unorthodox arrangements despite Canberra Giants and Territory Storm having carved up squads by halves before coronavirus had imposed new social distancing restrictions.

"We will probably look to start doing that [training] from next week," Fletcher said.

"We are still waiting on a bit of direction from Netball Australia, who are talking about May 31 as a date for Super Netball and ANL.

"So depending on what we get from them and we have had discussion about it, but we will start looking at getting into conditioning work and that small group work from June 1."

Fletcher is just as keen as his side to get out of isolation, individual training and Zoom meetings online and get back onto the court.

That has dragged on for the better part of nine weeks, but moves are on hold until officials give an indication on the season ahead.

"It all depends on how the competition looks and that's really what we're waiting for," he said. "That will give us a bit of a guide on what direction to take next."

There is still a sense of dread over how fast state government restrictions can move.

Tight border controls on the island could impact the future of the Tasmanians in joining their Melbourne-based teammates playing.

"That's definitely a concern and not only that, but it's a factor that is going to impact on how the competition will look or at least a starting date for the competition," he said.

"You'd imagine the borders will eventually open, but until they do our ability to compete I wouldn't be able to I'd imagine because we can't go away."
