The Taste of Tasmania 2020 is the latest event facing cancellation, with the Hobart City Council voting on its fate at Monday's meeting.
The impending decision has left stallholders and event-oriented businesses with increased stress, including Della Valle Gelato of Invermay.
Della Velle co-owner Debbie Kunde said she was extremely concerned about events facing cancellation late into 2020 and into early 2021.
"Events are 95 per cent of our income, so our income will be largely reliant on the [Harvest] market over summer which is a fraction of what we usually get," she said.

Ms Kunde said Taste's possible cancellation meant uncertainty for stallholders around other prominent holiday events such as the Deloraine Craft Fair in November and Festivale in February.
"I think for us the litmus test will be the Deloraine Craft Fair which is due in November - we're still waiting to hear if that will go ahead," she said.
"It's also the little things ... it's all those events like World Street Eats that were once a month.
"The beauty of those small local events was the participation costs were a lot lower and you get a lot more bang for your buck as stallholders because you're not shelling out thousands of dollars to be there."
Small Business and Events minister Sarah Courtney said she encouraged Taste organisers to look at alternative ways to host an event.
