Club secretary Ross Hart said the branch wanted to assist the community during COVID-19 and the decision was made to support Launceston's Li-Ve and Multicap.
"We thought we would make our donation to workers who in particular are dealing with disabled people or others in the community in in-home care," he said.
"These are the N95 PPE units, it's not just masks, these are the finer masks that are used in a hospital setting.
"We made some inquiries... and the feedback we had was that priority was in disability care and in-home care so that's why we looked to them."
IN OTHER NEWS:
About 1200 pieces of N95 masks were donated to the disability providers on Wednesday.
Li-Ve Tasmania coordinator Roslyn Hodge said it was an amazing, generous donation from the club.
"It's really beneficial because we're having a lot of trouble getting PPE and to get these masks is like a windfall," she said.
"We've got equipment now to give to our workers to go out into the community to be able to assist people without having to worry."
