Tasracing's Greyhound Adoption Program has received 47 applications for adoptions and 27 applications to foster last month.
Racing Minister Jane Howlett said 18 greyhounds had found new months in a month which was double the monthly average.
She said Tasracing had a goal of re-homing more than 150 greyhounds annually.
Ms Howlett said the racing body's greyhound rehoming facility was open to the public to better demonstrate the animal's suitability as pets.
There were 224 greyhounds rehomed over 2018-19.
There were 212 greyhounds adopted in 2017-18 and 272 greyhounds adopted in 2016-17.
Ms Howlett said new welfare rules introduced by Tasracing in March around the retirement of greyhounds had provided stronger controls around euthanasia of the dogs.
There were 137 dogs euthanised in 2018-19, 198 euthanised in 2017-18, and 309 dogs enthunanised in 2016-17.
