Tasmania's golfers are set to rejoice with competition play given the all clear to resume from Monday.
With courses either previously closed or allowing two players per hole under COVID-19 restrictions, the state's fairway walkers will now be able to play in groups of four with clubrooms set to be open under limitations.
The return to competition play is the closest golfers have been to normal since Golf Australia urged golfers to hit socially after originally recommending course closure in late March.

State minister for sport and recreation Jane Howlett thanked both Golf Tasmania and Golf Australia for their work with the government in enforcing the modifications.
"The health and safety of all Tasmanians remains our priority and that is why a number of measures will be put in place by clubs, including social distancing, enhanced hygiene protocols and rule modifications designed to minimise the risk of infection to participants," Howlett said.
