A further nine cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Tasmania.
This brings the state total to 98.
Of these nine, eight are cases relating to the North West Regional Hospital.
Of those eight, six are NWRH staff members, one is an in-patient and one is a close contact to a previously known NWRH case.
"An Outbreak Management Team is already identifying and contacting any person who has had close contact with any of these staff and will ensure necessary actions are taken," Director of Public Health Dr Mark Veitch said.
"n addition, Public Health Services is also following up household and social contacts of all confirmed cases."
The remaining case is in the South and was an overseas traveller; according to Dr Veitch, they had been in home-quarantine since returning.
In other news:
Three of the cases are in their 20s, two in their 30s, and one each in their 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s.
This comes after a third person in the state died from coronavirus earlier today.
