A Legana man has been charged with motor vehicle stealing, evade police and other dishonesty matters following the incident.
He was arrested shortly after an allegedly stolen Nissan Pulsar was dumped in Evans Street, Invermay.
A second man from Ravenswood has also been charged with a range of offences including armed robbery, assault and offences against police.

The car, a 2014 red Mitsubishi Outlander (registration D79ZN), has not been located.
Both men were expected to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon.
