Football in Tasmania has joined the rest of Australia on hold until May 31 to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
AFL Tasmania have been in discussions with the clubs including both North Launceston and Launceston over "temporarily pausing" funding in line with the suspension of play.
The clubs however have at least been relieved of any obligations temporarily.
AFL Tasmania chief executive Trisha Squires says she understands it's "an extremely tough time" for supporters in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We acknowledge it's a challenging and unprecedented time for the broader community, which includes all sports organisations and clubs," she said.
"AFL Tasmania will be working with the seven TSL clubs to assist in managing costs and to identify opportunities for relief."
The TSL clubs have to date received more than 30 per cent of their total grant funding for the 2020 season.
"We have great confidence in the leadership at all seven clubs in working through this challenging period," Squires said.
