This weekend we're back in research mode as more of Launceston's prominent sporting nicknames shed light on why they're called what they're called.
NAME: Damian Whybrow
KNOWN FOR: Plundering boundaries for Trevallyn and Cressy in the TCL
NICKNAME: Plugger
EXPLANATION: "Back in the primary school and high school days playing footy I got named after Tony Lockett who used to play for St Kilda.
"I was a full-forward and I didn't really move much out of the square.
"It's always stuck with me - I first found out about it in the primary school newsletter.
"They had a write-up about the football and it said 'Damian Plugger Whybrow' and I thought to myself 'what's all this about?' because back then I didn't even really know Tony Lockett .It's just stuck ever since."
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT: Mowbray golfer Michael Leedham ripping up course at 70
NAME: Clinton Reid
KNOWN FOR: Being the heart and soul of Mowbray Cricket Club
NICKNAME: Yabbie
EXPLANATION: "My nickname came about from a team mate of mine at the Mowbray Cricket Club calling my old man 'Crayfish' one day.
"They were alluding to him being all a*** and s*** for brains . From that day I was named Yabbie ... Yabbie stuck and my Dad was never called Crayfish again."
NAME: Brodie Jarrad
KNOWN FOR: Dominating this season's one-day cup with South Launceston
NICKNAME: Double Christian
EXPLANATION: "It started down at Old Scotch footy club actually with Kim Curtis and Scotty Harris just because I have two first names.
"So it was Double Christian and then it just turned into Double and I just kind of cop it for having two first names.
"I cop it quite a bit at footy and I'm kind of hoping it doesn't get stuck with the cricket side of things as well.
"There's a lot of hypocrites down at Old Scotch actually - I feel like I'm the one copping the brunt of it when there's a few others about as well, so I'm not too impressed about it but it's a bit of fun.
"There's a few [at South as well] - Jeremy Jackson tries to bring it in quite a bit but I feel like with his name he's in the same boat but he won't accept it - there's a lot of hypocrites about actually."
NAME: Braden van Buuren
KNOWN FOR: Eating key forwards for breakfast in the TSL and NWFL
NICKNAME: Dos
EXPLANATION: "It's come from high school a long time ago.
"One of my mates at high school called me Dos - he just said it out of nowhere and we all sort of took the p*** out of him a bit and then it stuck through high school and on with footy.
"Everyone called me Dos at Devonport so then when I came to North [Launceston] a few of them knew me as that. I guess it's from Braden, Brados ... it's an interesting one."
NAME: Alex Gaetani
KNOWN FOR: Ruling over Riverside Olympic's Windsor Park like Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford
NICKNAME: Sticks
EXPLANATION: "When I was a young player I was very skinny and had skinny legs so some of the older boys in the team called me Sticks.
"There's a few nicknames at Olympic. Ryan McCarragher has been called 'Friesy' for a long time but I am actually not too sure why.
"Rhys Kinslow was given the name 'Fos' which is short for Fossil as at the time he was the oldest player in the team and required fairly intense rub downs to get up for games.
"Jasper King is being called "Slick" by Tay Neilson to make sure he knows his place as a young fella in the team. Ethan Olner is "Bomber" which came from E Bomb because of his last ditch tackling and heroic acts on the pitch."
