An employee of a tour company visited by an interstate pair who subsequently tested positive to COVID-19 is among three new cases of the virus confirmed in Tasmania.

The cases have all been confirmed since 6pm Wednesday night and bring the states tally to 74.

Public Health Director Mark Veitch said two of the new cases were women and one was a man.
"One is from Southern Tasmania and two are from Northern Tasmania," he said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"One is aged in their 30s, one is in their 40s and one is in their 50s."
He said further information about two of the cases will be made available later.
"The situation with coronavirus is changing regularly," Dr Veitch said.
