The special meeting agenda will focus solely on support measures in the municipality, before the regular monthly council meeting is conducted on April 21.
Mayor Wayne Johnston said the council met to discuss support and recovery measures aimed at supporting businesses, the community and sporting groups.
"We understand that this short notice period may be inconvenient however, this is a special meeting being held because of special circumstances and it is vital that council formalises relevant support measures at a time when it is most needed and that time is now," he said.
