Adam Daniel Patterson was first at the scene of the fire in 2018, which he later admitted to starting.

He was sentenced to two years and six months behind bars, and became eligible for parole last month.
Releasing its decision this week, the Parole Board of Tasmania said Patterson had no reason for setting fire to the home, but was "suffering high levels of stress in his relationship" at the time.

"There is however little explanation or clear motivation for the applicant's action in starting the fire," they wrote.
"It is reported that the applicant has insight into the impact of his offending, notably having identified the community impact specifically due to his position of trust as a volunteer fire fighter.
"On interview before the Board, the applicant expressed remorse and acknowledged the impact not only on the victims but was able to explain the effect of his offending on his family and his relationship, which has subsequently broken down."
He was released on parole on February 24, and will remain on parole until May 22, 2021.
