No one with a straight face could say that the federal government isn't going about trying to support people who have lost their jobs or gain access to health services no matter their postcode the best they can.

Could some things have been done quicker? Yes.
Are things 100 per cent perfect? No.
Has the MyGov website failure added to the stress of those that now unemployed? Yes.
But these are unprecedented times and the economic stimulus being unveiled will go a long way to help Australia land somewhere near on its feet on the other side.
Whether you vote independent, Liberal, Labor, or for a minor party, whether you earn $120,000 a year or $45,000, you can expect the same level of support from what the state and Commonwealth governments have so far handed out, with more to come.
Sunday's announcements to open up Medicare subsidies for telehealth, better support emergency-relief charities, family violence victims and those struggling mentally should be universally welcomed.

We're all in this together. And with economists predicting the national unemployment rate could surpass 17 per cent - millions of job losses - by next year, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the next stimulus measure expected in coming days will be bigger than the previous two worth $80 billion.
Many have been calling for a wage subsidy similar to the UK's 80 per cent wage coverage and that would be timely with the next phase of hibernation restrictions being forecast which will see the closure of many more businesses and services.
That would be critical in allowing businesses to keep their employees on the payroll with their doors closed.
Everyone is under pressure - including the Prime Minister, premiers and governments - this is not a time for political two-up.
We can all take a breath and find some comfort in the fact that we live in a country that can provide its citizens with such support.
