Brunton had five winners, including dead-heater Ruetigger, on the nine-race program, the first in Hobart under coronavirus restrictions.
The trainer's outright winners were Kuroset, Stelladoni, Banstead and Born Magic while Ruetigger shared the Ladbrokes Open Handicap with Gee Gee True Story trained by Team Wells.
Unfortunately, Hellova Street's all-the-way win in the $150,000 Golden Mile at Bendigo on Saturday won't go on Brunton's resume.
The nine-year-old was recently transferred to Victorian trainer Patrick Payne due to difficulties transporting him to and from Tasmania.
The win was worth $90,000 to his Tasmanian owners and took his career earnings to $1,287,000.
Brunton's Hobart winners were shared around, with David Pires riding three of them and Siggy Carr and Georgie Catania one each.
Carr also won on Sarah Cotton's unbeaten four-year-old Dark Wanderer and trained her own winner, Mr Tindall, ridden by Ianish Luximon.
LAUNCESTON DOGS
Dilston trainer Patrick Ryan has four runners in the Breeders Classic final at Mowbray on Monday night.
Two of his finalists won their semis, with Savage Victor recording the second-fastest time of 29.75 and Ava Wine scoring by 10 lengths.
Splotched and Handsome Prince both qualified by running second, with the latter chasing home fastest heat winner Kintyre (29.55).
Kintyre has drawn awkwardly in the final, whereas Savage Victor has box 1 and is the Greyhound Recorder's predicted favourite at $2.60.
