It brings the number of confirmed cases in the state to 47.
Director of Public Health Dr Mark Veitch said three of the cases are from Northern Tasmania and two are from the North West.

He said all five people were onboard the Ovation of the Seas cruise ship which docked in Sydney on March 18.

"All of the cases were already in self-quarantine and receiving daily contact from Public Health Services staff as they were passengers on a cruise ship where coronavirus cases had been detected," Dr Veitch said.
One of the cases was in their 70s, two were in their 30s and two were children.
Dr Veitch said the children had not been attending school.
