The University of Tasmania has offered the facilities in its nursing school to the state government.
The director of UTAS' Covid-19 response, Chris Arnold, said the Nursing Training and Simulation Centre at Newnham has been decanted in readiness.
"While we do not yet know if it will be needed - and indeed we hope it will not be needed - we have taken steps to ensure it is ready for immediate use," he said.
"[It] is available as a flexible, adaptable space if required."
In Hobart, the Fountainside Apartment Buildings have been made available.
