Ms McEvoy said information about how register for This Place Matters would be sent out to interested people and placed on a This Place Matters website.
"The This Place Matters website, along with all registered places, will be actively promoted throughout the online launch festival," she said.
"Interactive activities in the form of online competitions, forums, comments and feedback will be engaged through the website and social media platforms."
National Trust Tasmania thanked the community for its understanding of the need to make these decisions, Mc McEvoy said.
