Motorcyclist caught speeding near Launceston school
A motorbike rider was caught travelling more than double the speed limit near a school in Launceston on Tuesday.

The rider was detected travelling at 117 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on Stanley Street at Summerhill just before 2pm.
Police have since confiscated the 24-year-old man's yellow Ducati.
IN OTHER NEWS:
His bike will be confiscated for 28 days.
The Northern Road and Public Order Services unit intercepted the motorbike adjacent to the Summerdale Primary School.
There will be proceedings brought against the 24-year-old motorcyclist for traffic related offences.
