The decision impacts speech and drama, music and Highland dancing sections.
In a statement published on social media, the association said future events would also be under consideration depending on the circumstances.
"The committee certainly do not wish to put anyone at risk of contracting the virus," the statement reads.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It is quite sad for the committee to have to make these decisions as it is only the second time the competitions have had to be cancelled. The first was in 1935 due to the financial situation at the time."
Theatrical dance sections, proposed for later in the year, will be reassessed on April 27.
All entrance will be offered a refund of their entry fees.
