It comes after independent Nelson MLC Meg Webb this morning urged for the machines to be completely shut down in all pubs, clubs and casinos in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The measure will be implemented at Wrest Point, Country Club and 12 pubs.
A spokesperson for Federal Group said it was monitoring the latest public health advice.
"We are constantly monitoring the advice of health and government authorities and will respond to the rapidly changing requirements as needed," the spokesperson said.

"This initiative is in addition to increased cleaning measures on our gaming floors and all facilities, as well as the provision of hand sanitised for staff and guests.
"In addition to this we are implementing social distancing in our restaurants."
Federal Group has also cancelled entertainment shows until at least July 1.
