Following last week's announcement of the cancellation of all public gatherings over 500 across Australia and Wednesday's banning of indoor events with more than 100 people, a range of Northern Tasmanian events have either been called off or postponed.
Some organisers have also moved to cancel smaller events in order to further prevent the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19.
Others are planning to continue unless directed otherwise.
Events are listed alphabetically:
Agfest - cancelled
The 2020 event, scheduled for early May, has been cancelled.
Organisers announced the cancellation on Wednesday morning. To watch the press conference and for more details, click here.
Anzac Day - cancelled
Anzac Day ceremonies conducted by RSL Tasmania have been cancelled over fears that it could put older Tasmanians at risk.

Australian BMX Championships - postponed
The Australian BMX Championships have been postponed until later in the year. It was originally planned for St Leonards for March 23 to 29 as a lead-up to the Olympics.

Australian Masters Rowing Championships - cancelled
The 2020 event due to take place from April 29 to May 2 at Lake Barrington has been cancelled.
Australian Musical Theatre Festival - cancelled
The festival, planned for Launceston from May 21 to 24, has been cancelled.
Balfour Burn - cancelled
The children's disability fundraiser, scheduled for March 20, has been cancelled.
Breath of Fresh Air film festival - cancelled
The film festival scheduled for May 1 to 3 at Village Cinemas will not go ahead - but organisers are investigating the feasibility of an online festival using streaming, for Tasmanians in isolation. More here.
Derby Fest - cancelled
Derby Fest - proposed to showcase the mountain bike trails and the region's culinary scene - has been cancelled. The event was planned to take place from April 17 to 19.
Design Tasmania - closed
In a statement from Design Tasmania board and staff, it was announced the building would be closed until April 6 at the earliest.
Dragon Trail - cancelled
The mountain biking event planned for Derby, Blue Tier, Bay of Fires and St Helens from March 26 to 29 has been cancelled.
Easter markets - cancelled
The Launceston Easter Niche and Harmony markets planned for March 27 and April have been cancelled.
ECHO Festival - going ahead
ECHO Festival, planned for the hamlet of Cranbrook on the East Coast, is still going ahead at this stage for April 3 to 5.
Evandale Sunday Market - cancelled
The Evandale Sunday Market was cancelled on March 22 and we are awaiting updates as to when it will reopen.
Festival of Voices - cancelled
The Festival of Voices was scheduled to run from July 1-12 this year but has been cancelled. It will return in 2021 from June 30 to July 11.
Event and workshop tickets will be fully refunded. All refund enquiries should be directed to info@festivalofvoices.com.
Flinders Island Crayfish Festival - cancelled
The Flinders Island Crayfish Festival, planned for April 15 to 19, has been cancelled as the island attempts to prevent coronavirus from arriving at its shores.

Franklin House Fair - cancelled
The Franklin House Fair has been cancelled to ensure the safety of volunteers, entertainment groups and stallholders.
The fair was originally planned for March 22.
Fresh Comedy with Mikey Robbins - cancelled
The Fresh Comedy show with Mikey Robbins scheduled for March 7 will not go ahead.
Harmony Week - cancelled
The Multicultural Council has cancelled all Harmony Week gatherings in Tasmania this week.
Harvest Launceston - cancelled
Harvest Launceston has been cancelled until further notice, acting upon government recommendations.
The board will investigate whether a home delivery service is a possibility. Read more here.
Heritage Festival - replaced with online festival
An online festival will take place instead of National Trust Tasmania's traditional 2020 Heritage Festival, which had to be cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic. More details here.
Labor State Conference - cancelled
The conference was planned for July in Launceston, but has been cancelled. More details here.
Launceston Aquatic and Leisure Centre - closed
City of Launceston Council are closing the pool from Wednesday, March 18, with the decision to be reviewed in April.
Launceston Competitions - cancelled
Upcoming theatrical dance, speech and drama, music and Highland dancing sections have all been cancelled.
Launceston Motor Show - cancelled
The show, planned for the Launceston Showgrounds this Sunday, has been cancelled.
Launceston Musical Society - cancelled
The society's upcoming April concert has been cancelled, but preparations will begin for the October show Into the Woods.
Launceston Running Festival - awaiting decision
Launceston Running Festival will wait before making a decision on this year's festival, proposed for June.

Longford Community Culture Sharing Long Table Party - cancelled
The community party for seasonal workers has been cancelled, it was due to be held on Longford's Village Green, on April 4.
Longford Ladies Probus Club's 30th Anniversary - postponed
Longford Ladies Probus Club were meant to celebrate their 30th anniversary at Marjories Woolmers Estate on March 23 at 12pm but the event has been postponed.
Mamma Mia - postponed
Encore Theatre Company has postponed its performances of Mamma Mia until after the coronavirus crisis has eased.
Anyone who has bought a ticket has the option of claiming a refund, transferring their ticket to a rescheduled performance or donating the ticket price to ensure the ongoing viability of Encore.

Million Paws Walk - cancelled
RSPCA Tasmania have cancelled the Millions Paws Walk event due to take place in May.
RSPCA Tasmania said the walk will be replaced with "Walk This May" which will encapsulate a 'virtual walk.'
MONA - closed
The Museum of Old and New Art will be closed indefinitely from Wednesday in an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Northern Midlands Community Expo - postponed
The expo scheduled to run on Saturday, March 21 at Longford will be postponed.
Parkrun Launceston - going ahead
Parkrun does not have plans to cancel its weekly Saturday runs at this stage.
Princess Theatre shows - various
The Princess Theatre box office will be open for in-person inquiries and to process refunds weekdays from 10am - 2pm, and Saturdays 10am-1pm. It's phone number is 6323 3666.
In a statement, a theatre representative said, "Sadly, highly-anticipated performances and events from a range of local, national and international companies have been postponed or cancelled".
"The health and safety of our community, audiences, artists and staff is, of course, our collective priority.
Tasmania's cultural industry will be feeling the effects of this unprecedented situation for some time. As one of Northern Tasmania's largest arts-sector employers, we are committed to working with industry, our community and audiences to ensure a robust and multi-layered performance ecology in Launceston, into the future.
Our best wishes go out to all the wonderful companies and artists affected. They will need Launceston's fulsome and enthusiastic support in the months to come."

The following events are on hold until further notice, to be confirmed whether or not they will be going ahead:
Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery - closed
City of Launceston Council are closing QVMAG from Wednesday, March 18, with the decision to be reviewed in April.
Race meets - going ahead
All Tasmanian race meets, barrier trials and trackwork will go ahead, but will not be open to the public.
Ready, Set, Retire Expo - cancelled
Tasplan has announced the Ready, Set, Retire Expo planned for March 21 has been cancelled.
Ross Running Festival - postponed
The festival was planned for April 26, but has been postponed.
Refunds will be given to those who have registered.
Royal Society of Tasmania - postponed
The Royal Society of Tasmania Northern Chapter has postponed its AGM and lecture which were scheduled for March 22.
In a statement, the society said it was following the best medical advice and wanted to ensure the health and wellbeing of its members and the community.
Salamanca Market - cancelled for two weeks
Hobart's iconic Salamanca Market will shut down for the next two Saturdays.
The market will be closed on March 21 and 28.
Sandy Evans - cancelled
A jazz workshop with Sandy Evans, planned for March 19 and 21, has been cancelled and will be rescheduled "as soon as practicable". Ticket holders will be contacted and refunded.
Sidmouth Leisure and Pleasure - cancelled
The Sidmouth Leisure and Pleasure fundraising expo for the local hall has been cancelled.
The event was planned for March 22.
Steve Biddulph at Longford - cancelled
The parenting workshops planned for March 25 to 27 featuring best-selling author Steve Biddulph has been cancelled.
TARGA Tasmania - cancelled
TARGA Tasmania has been cancelled, pushing their 30th anniversary event to 2022.

Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra - on hold
All upcoming performances of the TSO are on hold until further notice.
The TSO will continue to rehearse and publish content via its digital platforms on Facebook and YouTube, including the online "Daily Dose".
V8 Supercars at Symmons Plains - postponed
The Tyrepower Tasmania Super400, scheduled for April 3 to 5, has been postponed until later in the year.

Westbury St Patrick's Festival - cancelled
The festival and associated events have been cancelled.
These include the cancellations of An Evening with the Young Irelanders for March 20, Westbury St Patrick's Festival for March 21, and St Patrick's Community Services for March 22.
Weymouth Easter Market - cancelled
The market was scheduled to run on April 11, but has been cancelled.
Organisers will meet to discuss alternatives for later in the year.
