The events include fetes, fairs, concerns, presentation nights, sports carnivals, school camps and parent-teacher meetings.
The Tasmanian government issued the advice on Sunday evening, just an hour after Scotch Oakburn College in Launceston announced it would be cancelling classes for at least two weeks.
In a statement, Education Minister Jeremy Rockliff said the advice would be reviewed regularly.
"The health and safety of Tasmanians is our highest priority and we will continue to act on the best advice we have available at the time," he said.
More on coronavirus:
"While we are advised that at this time it is not required to close any school sites, we are acutely aware this situation is evolving, and we will continue to take our advice from Public Health.
Schools and staff will continue to implement strict hygiene protocols and act in a protective and preventative manner to help limit the spread of coronavirus."
A seventh case of coronavirus was confirmed for Tasmania last night - a woman in her 50s who had been in close contact with another Tasmanian case who had travelled overseas.
As of 5pm Sunday, 359 coronavirus tests had been carried out in Tasmania.
