The Junior Sedan State Title will be fiercely contested, combining the Top Stars and New Stars for the first time this season.
New Stars are those competitors in their first two seasons of racing, and after this they progress to the Top Stars category.
Surprisingly, New Stars like Kyle Bagorski, Xavier Clark, Nate Garwood, Taylah Jetson and Callum Spencer will certainly challenge some of the more seasoned Top Stars.
Some of those Top Stars drivers in contention include Harry Auton, Sharni Farrell, Lochie Robins, Kiara McKercher and Stevie Smith.
But with a total of ten heats for the 39-car field as well as an A main and a Consolation final, it promises to be a busy night for the junior drivers and their families.
Front-wheel drive cars are now the dominant machines however Lucas Dickenson and Stephanie Howard are on the pace in the rear-wheel drive cars.
Also on the programme are the sprintcars and the 12-car field will certainly provide some good wheel-to-wheel racing.
Jamie Bricknell is looking for a good result as he drives the Number 20 machine of Tony Clasener.
Veteran drivers Adrian Redpath, Jason Redpath, Kurt Luttrell and Jason Dawkins will certainly be challenging for the win as will current state champion Nick Penno.
Victorian star Brenten Farrer is driving the Robin Dawkins-owned machine and will be a significant factor in the results.
The Junior Sedan State Title will be fiercely contested ...
New drivers Jack Crossin, Brad Walkley and Mahtia Bissett have all stepped up the pace in recent meetings.
Wingless are also on the programme with a nine-car field. Their racing is usually close quarter combat and current state champion Jeremy Smith is eager to fend off any challenges that may arise from the likes of Jacob Goodluck, Jamie Rolls and Luke Wilson.
Another huge field of 36 street stocks has entered, providing plenty of interest in their annual Ironman event.
The top qualifier has to start from the rear and then select who starts beside them. This continues up the grid until all positions have been filled.
The race duration of 50 laps in one direction certainly proves to be a tough event as strategy, fitness and a whole lot of luck are just some of the factors that come into play.
Troy Russell has won this event before and will face stiff opposition from Dale Riley Jr, Corey Bauld, Matt Templar and a host of other contenders.
Nearly 60 entries in the three classes of karts will commence the proceedings from 3.45pm and main track action starting from 6pm.
