Tasmanian cricket fans have been banned from attending the state's key international match of the season because of the coronavirus pandemic.

A one-day international match between Australia and New Zealand will still take place at Blundstone Arena in Hobart on March 20 but fans will not be allowed to attend, Cricket Australia announced on Friday.
Fans who purchased tickets will get a full refund and will be contacted by Ticketek.

Cricket Tasmania chief executive Dominic Baker said while the decision would disappoint fans, the health of Tasmanians came first.
"The global impact of coronavirus is growing by the day, and we have to make sure that we put the safety of our fans, staff and players first," he said.
"Cricket Australia's decisions around all their international fixturing is one we wholeheartedly support, and we will continue working with them in the lead up to next Friday's match."
"We'll also progress discussions around what the international content in Tasmania looks like for next season to ensure that Tasmanian is kept on the international cricket map."
Premier League and community cricket matches will be proceeding as normal.
