Agfest's organising committee says they will continue to monitor risks associated with coronavirus but have assured exhibitors and patrons the event in May is still planned to go ahead.

In a statement, the committee said more than over 700 exhibitors were finalising their exhibits and planning for other event features were in full swing.
"We are actively working with the appropriate health authorities and we will implement any additional measures suggested by them to ensure the health and safety of all involved," the committee said.
"We will be taking active measures at the event in line with standard COVID-19 precautions including signage and hand sanitiser stations at the event.
"We also encourage exhibitors to use their judgement to determine what is appropriate for their business and the health and wellbeing of their staff."
Agfest will be held from May 7 to 9.
