Unique local food, stories and community member insights will be on show to hundreds of visitors at the Flinders Island Food and Crayfish Festival next month.

A vast array of dining experiences, tours and fun activities have been planned as part of the festival, which takes place during April 15-19.
Event organiser Joanna Klug said the festival was running longer this year, for five days, in a bid to get people staying on Flinders Island for longer.
"We believe the real heroes of the festival are the people who live on the island...it's really just celebrating local people and what they do," she said.
"We have had a really positive response to this year's festival, it has really resonated with people in Tassie and the mainland.
"In fact more than 90 per cent of the island is booked out, we only have a few hire cars and a hand full of rooms left."

New tours conducted by Flinders Islands residents have proved popular additions to the festival line-up in 2020.
Muttonbird, booze and farm gate agricultural and horticultural tours were planned, Ms Klug said.
"For those people who enjoy celebrity chefs we have Karen Martini and Tobie Puttock coming along.They will be immersing themselves in the festival and then doing a cooking demonstration on the Friday.
"Scott Stevenson and Jesse McTavish will be cooking up a storm at the long table lunch with local chefs on the Saturday."
A picnic with wombats, Aboriginal art exhibition and food feast are among the free community community events on offer.
"People can choose their own itinerary," Ms Klug advised.
"If you're already coming make sure you book your festival tickets online, there's plenty to do this year. The biggest challenge is deciding what to do."
Ms Klug said glamping accommodation was still available for Tasmanians who wanted to attend the festival, along with charter flights for people unable to stay overnight.
"If you want to grab those last few spots email us and we will point you in the right direction," she said.
"What's really exciting is that Pete Barron flies out of Bridport so in the event the hire cars are booked out, or the beds are filled up, people can drive to Bridport and they can fly in and fly out."
