IN OTHER NEWS:
NTDC was formed in 2017 and is funded by seven of the northern councils excluding Dorset.
The council considered the NTDC's Members' agreement for the next three years at the meeting because the current agreement expires in June.
Under the new agreement, the council will provide annual funding and to fund the population attraction coordinator position, which is an additional $21,000 above the base contribution.
The council agreed to provide the funding, with Councillor Danny Gibson saying it was a bit early to predict the future of NTDC's new direction, but was heartened by what he had seen in the past few weeks.
The motion passed unanimously.
