A 27-year-old Edith Creek man has been charged with one count of causing injury to property in relation to an alleged vehicle ramming incident in the Tarkine.

The man was charged by detectives from the Burnie Criminal Investigation Branch.
Tasmania Police confirmed the charge related to an incident near Sumac Road, south of Smithton, on February 21 where it was alleged a motor vehicle being driven by a member of the Bob Brown Foundation was twice struck by another vehicle.
The man has been conditionally bailed to appear in the Smithton Magistrates Court on May 27.
The Bob Brown Foundation has alleged three Tarkine defenders were driving on a public road near the foundation's Sumac blockade when the man deliberately rammed their vehicle.
