The Case IH dealership conference is held in Tasmania this week, with global product managers such as Andrew Kissel providing information and knowledge about the latest machinery technology.
He said cellular modems can be installed in every machine, allowing farmers to monitor machines from their phones, collecting critical information such as fuel levels and grain bin capacity.
"It is also useful for building connections between customers and dealers, where dealers monitor machine hours and have service-parts ready before the customer even realises."
